In her first high school individual race, Edison freshman Ellie Morrissey has won the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 10.10 seconds in the in-progress double-dual meet between the Chargers, Irvine and Redands at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center in Irvine. The automatic Division I standard is 2:12.50, so Morrissey certainly has started her career well. She swims club for Fullerton-based FAST.
