February 27th, 2009, 9:04 am · · posted by

Freshman Mc Caully Patch has stepped up big all season, and the CIF-SS Division VI quarterfinal proved to be no different

Her free kick goal late in the second half was the only goal of the game, as the Tartans advanced to the semifinals for the second straight season by defeating Calvary Murrieta 1-0 Thursday afternoon.

Patch has now scored a team high 15 goals this season for the Tartans (16-4-4).

St. Margaret’s will take on San Jacinto High Tuesday afternoon.

What a thriller El Toro vs Marina! Brooke Ellison’s header wins it in ot. she looks just like her mother Stephanie (Edison high class of 84). Her dad, Paul didn’t have a bad athletic career (Edison high class of 84 football and baseball, OCC baseball, Cal Berkley baseball, Phil Phillies). I grew up with Brookes mom and dad. Brooke has a great athletic blood line. Her grandmother was a highly regarded HS Tennis Coach @ Edison. Her grandfather (Don Terranova) baseball and golf coach with those dastardly FV Barrons. And her mother (Soccer, Softball, Cross Country and Track @ Edison). Gotta give a “say hey” to the Ellison and Terranova clan. I now live in Las Vegas, so its great to follow and blog CIF athletic.
    Good job El Toro
