Outlook: Ocean View went undefeated in the Golden West League. In the playoffs, the third-seeded Seahawks had a bye in the first round, and then beat Ontario Christian, 87-53, in the second round, and San Luis Obispo, 70-56, in the quarterfinals. Mason Jones, a 6-4 senior, led Ocean View with 23 points against San Luis Obispo. Second-seeded Serra finished second in the Del Rey League, behind Bishop Montgomery of Torrance. The Cavaliers have playoff victories over Alemany of Mission Hills, 67-53, in the first round; South El Monte, 93-64, in the second round; and Centennial of Compton, 60-50, in the quarterfinals. They had beaten Centennial in a regular-season game, too, and also had regular-season victories over Diamond Ranch of Pomona and Santiago of Corona.
