Outlook: Second-seeded Sonora won the Freeway League championship with a 9-1 league record. In the playoffs, the Raiders beat El Modena, 59-52, in the first round; Irvine, 55-44, in the second round; and Apple Valley, 49-47, in the quarterfinals. Chris Bearden, a 6-0 senior, leads the Raiders at 17 points a game. He made two free throws at the end of the game to beat Apple Valley. Third-seeded Harvard Westlake, a Mission League co-champion with Loyola of Los Angeles, has played a challenging schedule, with losses to Fairfax of Los Angeles, Serra of Gardena, Loyola and Long Beach Jordan. Austin Kelly, a 6-3 junior, leads the Wolverines with 15 points a game.
