No. 10 Rosary vs. No. 1 Corona del Mar, at Beckman, 7:30 p.m.

Prediction: For all the attention Edison’s draw received – and rightfully so – the top-seeded Sea Queens have their own choppy waters to navigate. Rosary should  give Corona del Mar an excellent match. Rosary senior goalie Julianna Kiesselbach is playing well. CdM has a physical 2-meter attack but Rosary counters with the emerging Katie Rigler, who looks a potential top-10 junior in Orange County. You want a good matchup at attacker? How about Heather Van Hiel of CdM vs. Hannah Croghan – another top-10 junior?. When Rosary gave LosAl a scare a few weeks back, I liked the way Croghan stayed with Kaley Dodson – a certain top-10 junior.  So what does this all mean? Rosary should fully get CdM’s attention under the lights and we’ll get a good read on CdM. The Sea Queens will play well and win but we’ll also learn more about Rosary’s direction for next season.
