Northwood at Corona del Mar, 3:15 p.m.
Prediction: The T-Wolves surprised me with a wild-card round victory at LB Poly. Get this: Northwood Coach Ed Carrera starts only freshmen and sophomores. Northwood might be a team on the rise but top-seeded Corona del Mar will take this one easy and start pondering its quarterfinal match against either Rosary or Santa Barbara.

Really going out on a limb to make a prediction in this game, huh Dan? C’mon, tell me who is going to win the El Toro at Mater Dei game. Chargers handled the Monarchs in Coronado tournament. ET also beat Irvine and Rosary in final weeks of regular season, so how do you explain the Division I coaches voting all those teams ahead of ET in the final top 10 ranking? Unbelievable.
Bob R – you are not going to like my prediction but I posted it earlier this morning. Sorry I didn’t have it posted last night.
As for ET and the Division I rankings, I have asked one of the coaches involved in voting and the word is that placement at the SoCal tourney was a major factor – as I suspected.
Still, ET has a winable game on Wednesday but as you have guess, I don’t think it is going to happen.
