No. 1 Mater Dei (24-0, 8-0) at No. 5 Orange Lutheran (22-4, 7-1)
Thursday, 7:30 p.m.
What happened the first time they met: Mater Dei won 102-77.
Why is this so important: Depending on things go early in the week this will be the outright Trinity League title. We all know the recent success Orange Lutheran has had against Mater Dei in football.
That can’t possibly happen in hoops. Can it?
Mater Dei had four starters top 20 points in the first meeting. David Wear led the way with 26, Tyler Lamb had 23 and Andy Brown and Gary Franklin scored 21 apiece.
Expect this game to be a wide-open, high scoring affair.
The Lancers can get 80 with ease and Mater Dei has topped 100, four times.
Buckle your seatbelts.

MORE CALHOUN FAB FIVE:
uhhhhh what about dana vs tesoro, that was 8 v 4 in the county and dana won so now both teams are 8-1 in league
are you serious Damian? do you actually think Olu can win?
Normally I would let people take all the shots they want at Damian Calhoun and his super-fab Fab Five.
But his story wasn’t posted until this evening (Tuesday) and did not include any Tuesday night games. We like to feature games that people can read about a day or two before they are played.
So don’t feel slighted. We never include Tuesday games in this feature. However, that Tesoro-Dana Hills game sounds like it was definitely Fab worthy.
