Foothill 37, Woodbridge 34: The No. 3 Knights rallied from a four-point halftime deficit to defeat the Warriors in a Sea View League game Tuesday night.
Christina Marinacci scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Foothill (15-1, 2-0). The senior became Foothill's all-time career leader in rebounds (1,011), breaking Kristen Mann's mark of 1,008.
No. 5 Woodbridge (16-2, 1-1), which was led by Erin Beadle's 9 points, had a nine-game winning streak snapped.
“They're always great games with Woodbridge,” Foothill coach Bill Seibert said. “We knew it was going to be a grind-it-out game, they always do a great job.”
Foothill outscored Woodbridge, 11-3, in the third quarter to turn the game around.
