Outlook: Do you remember last year? Mater Dei outscored Santa Margarita, 19-11, in third quarter of the first meeting to blow open a 35-32 halftime lead on the way to a 74-61 victory.

In the second meeting, a packed gym at Santa Margarita could taste a victory as the host Eagles led 50-43 at the end of the third. The fourth quarter was a forgettable stretch for the Eagles as they were outscored 24-10.

Ouch!

The Eagles opened league play with a 56-46 triumph over St. John Bosco. Mater Dei had 47 points at halftime of its 101-71 victory over Servite.

It is going to be that kind of season in the Trinity League.
