RELATED:
I still think Rosary needs to be higher in the pecking order. Villa Park has beaten a weaker SC team (I don’t understand it, they have two nice bigs), and Mira Costa is weaker than they were last year. Laguna Hills has lost to Laguna Niguel and Marina and should have dropped to 14 at best. Marina is playing much better, and Troy is playing consistently. It seems that after the top four, you could juggle the next 7-8 teams depending on how they fare in league.
Good job Carlos.
I agree Rosary should be higher than Troy and Villa Park. I still don’t understand why u rewarded Villa park after they lost to Foothill by 20 and now u moved HB even futher down after they lost to Foothill by less? HB and VP have only one team they both played and HB scored 50 and VP scored 30 ??????
occoach: I should have the rankings right by … March? Hopefully.
Rosary should be higher than Troy? The same Rosary team that lost to Fullerton….the team that Troy embarassed? If anything, I would think Troy should be higher, as well as HB. Wish Troy could have played Brea or Foothill…all the other teams seem to have played one another other than Mater Dei. They belong at the top, but after that I think the next 3 of Brea, Foothill, and Troy could be a toss up.
Not making sense – Troy can choose to play the top teams and so does the other teams who chose not too – this hasn’t changed much from last year – the coaches know who they are – it was a choice to avoid comp = now if they want to do that ,they do so at their own peril and suffer the consequences, it’s not like the OC doesn’t offer tournaments for them to play each other so stop with the weak arguments.
Now occoach you are clearly a homer for HB you have been pumping them on here and it doesn’t fly – Foothill absolutely killed you and played their whole bench it was like the men against the girls trying to compare your game via a score is impossible as VP played Foothill in a tough tournament after playing other tough games, and Foothill did not play their bench in that game like the HB game so give it a rest – they had the chance to try and compete and as with some of the other OC teams chose not too for a reason. Why do you think they struggled with FV – guard match up problems.
By the way Carlos you’re getting it right unlike some of the posters on here.
I’m sorry I missed the SM – Rosary game, it looked like a really close game. Hats off to SM for hitting their free-throws. It’s always fun to see games that come down to the wire. The both those teams should belong in the top ten.
Big Woodbridge vs. Foothill game tonight.
Sorry, I forgot to mention another good matchup, the Mission Viejo vs. San Clemente game. They square off tonight as well. San Clemente has played a lot of quality opponents in the OC, and it will be interesting to see how they fare against a gritty MV team and in league play.
efan: Thanks for the backup. Neutral Observer: I’m going out to MV-SC tonite. That should be an excellent game.
Can’t wait for the write up on MV-SC game as I can’t get to it – that darn thing called having to work!
Kaitlyn Petersen is the real deal for MV. SC put Cassie Harberts on her for much of the game, and she did a very good job on Petersen. But Petersen still got 11 points in the 4th quarter and finished with 27. She almost brought MV back from a 16-point deficit.
Yeah I think you’re right – and I think they will make adjustments and will take one from SC in league.
efan do work at the register? u are right about VP their gaurd play was great in the game vs El D. . U are wrong about SC losing to M.V. that wont happen, Mary’s teams always get stronger as the season goes on, About HB u are right im a homer. I see all of their games. what games do u watch? this ones 4 u Carlos, keep up the good work your right on man , I always agree with u E fan see u at the gym?
occoach: I agree about SC. That’s why Mary is one of the top coaches. Her teams always get better. Keep an eye on SC in the postseason.
