      Carlos,

How can CIF leave out Mission Viejo from 1A top 16 and include Capo Valley?
      MV is 13-4
      Capo is 6-10

Your rankings for OC are pretty much spot on.

    • chris pirri says:

Are they kidding, they being SCIBCA and their polls for Div 1A. Marina hammers F.V by 25 and beats Esperanza by double digits and both teams are ranked higher. How does Capo even rate? Mission Viejo should be a top 10 team in that Division for sure.

    • efan says:

Absolutely correct, MV should be in there, and Marina should be way higher than Espy and FV and also Edison should be higher than Costa as they blew em out so the whole thing is bogus right now.

    • nashfan says:

They made a lot of errors on this one – actually right now maxpreps is pretty accurate and they seemed to have ignored that. The obvious are those above but there are teams like North and R poly who were ignored and a lot of others who were put in and shouldn’t be there – hopefully they will get it right come play off time as CIf already made a big screw up on the divisions and they’re gonna look pretty bad when it all pans out.

    • CARLOS ARIAS says:

efan: ne thing to remember is these polls are done by coaches. There is no way MV shouldn’t be top 16, I would put the Diablos at No. 8.

    • efan says:

Hey Carlos – could be a good story in this asking SCIBCA why they wouldn’t use maxpreps more when they seem to be a little off on their knowledge of how the teams have faired – I’d say maybe they need to read your write ups man! You’re the only one around right now who is on the ball as far as girls hoops are concerned. I’m getting a lot of my info on this site alone, along with a huge bleacher butt from all the games I’m watching.

    • CARLOS ARIAS says:

efan: Thanks for the props. I’ll find out who is in charge of Division I-A and I-AA rankings. Hopefully, it was just an oversight that will correct next week. I’m going out to see MV-San Clemente tonight. I’ll get MV’s thoughts on being left out of the top 16.

    • CARLOS ARIAS says:

I interviewed Mission Viejo’s Kaitlyn Petersen after Tuesday’s game against San Clemente. Listen to the audio of what she had to say:

    • efan says:

Hey – luv the audios, very poised young lady and they were definitely slighted – I hope this is corrected by final polls along with the other errors as there were definitley some strange rankings. I also think they will adjust by the next game and may take one from SC.
