The league season will be underway in earnest this week.
Here is a quick snapshot of some of the more interesting games next week.
Tesoro at Capistrano Valley, Wednesday: What has happened to the Cougars, who are on a four-game losing streak? It has to be the shorts.
La Habra at Sonora, Wednesday: The first meeting of the season between the city rivals. Jordan Sachs. Chris Bearden. Someone save me a seat. Did you know that the Raiders defeated the Highlanders in wrestling last week?
Marina at Edison, Friday: Boswell is back. The junior guard scored 17 points in a loss to Esperanza.
Servite at Santa Margarita, Wednesday: I have a feeling that the Friars will pick off someone (not named Mater Dei). Call me crazy, I just have a feeling.
Westminster at Segerstrom, Friday: Can this match the excitement of the football meeting this season when Aaron Garbutt scored four touchdowns, passed for another in a 33-28 victory?
Re: Capistrano Valley shorts ... I had pajamas like that, when I was 5. I think they are OK, really. Certainly makes the Cougars stand out.
Thanks for your take on Servite. Just be prepared to be wrong.
