
Santa Margarita wide receiver Gavin Escobar (6-6, 210) has committed to San Diego State, Eagles coach Mike Jacot said in an e-mail Wednesday morning.
Escobar has great size and impressed with a strong game against St. Bonaventure this past season. Escobar had seven receptions for 130 yards against St. Bonaventure, the eventual state Division III champion.
Escobar finished the season with 37 receptions for 492 yards and six touchdowns.
