Outlook: The Oilers kick off the Sea View League with a visit from the Knights.

Defense is the key to the Oilers so far this season. They have allowed only one team to reach 60 points.

The Oilers closed their nonleague season with a 57-56 victory over Capistrano Valley.

All of the success starts with the backcourt duo of Nicholas Neser and Zach Kimber. Neser is averaging 11.8 points and 2.5 steals a night, while Kimber is scoring 14.8 points a night.

The Oilers are the only team in league that will challenge El Toro for the league title. Foothill’s big nonleague victory was a 52-51 triumph over La Habra.
