Still think that Laguna, SC, MV have played tougher games than HB, while these teams have all been playing each other and knocking each other off - only win HB got was Woody and from a few at the game Woody were awful that night complacent after their SC win.

  • CARLOS ARIAS says:

nashfan: You might be right about HB, but they will get their chance to prove themselves this week.

  • occoach says:

Nasnfan FYI HB and SC played each other in the Costa Mesa league in the summer 3 times , HB won two of the three games .U put too much stock on the South County teams. Also i think Woody will beat Foothill once and HB , twice ( HB)got lucky winning by 20)they are that good, and have a great coach. Woody would beat Edson as well as Villa Park. . Also HB has played some tough teams just not enough in OC , do your homework on those team HB lost to . than comment i have a feeling u won't

  • shnicker44 says:

OK too funny - you just lost all credibility - summer means absolutely nothing. Your dreaming on beating Foothill - now if your coach thought you were that good why not enter you in a OC Doyle or TOC, and who have you beaten, you're actually lucky to be in the top ten as you haven't beaten any of the teams. Shoulda, woulda, coulda doesn't quite work. Re HB the only team they have beaten is you!!! BTW SC isn't a top ten team!

  • occoach says:

Why don't u go watch these teams play?, i have, i don;t go by what people say in the the stands Thats my credibility, and i can't change your opinon and u can't change mine, I just don't have issues with these coaches u clearly do... stay positive its about the girls not the coaches

  • nashfan says:

What on earth are you talking about - it's got nothing to do with the coaches it's about you making statements that are out there - unless of course you think you're psychic and can predict what may happen if something took place that hasn't and won't. Try and base what you say on facts and we may be able to follow what the heck you are talking about.

  • bbjunky says:

occoach: You don't really think Woodbridge is gonna take a game from Foothill do you? I know you don't think much of H.B. but I just watched the Foothill / Huntington game and will be shocked if Foothill looses a league game this year. They just have one of those teams who have it all coming together at the same time and remind me of Troy a few years back. (Not quite as fast as Troy was but the precision is close.) An Edison / Woodbridge game would be interesting but Edison would still end up on top of that one too as they have proven they are no pushover and lets face it, getting beat by a prayer shot at the buzzer is lucky but getting spanked by 20 is just getting spanked. The Foothill / Brea game will either quiet the skeptics or fuel more debates but make no mistake, it will definitely be one of the best games to watch this year.

  • shnicker44 says:

oops put my comment in the wrong place but I agree with you junky - Lookin fwd to that game.

  • occoach says:

Woodbridge is super tough at home.I think they draw power from their yellow gym., I also the saw the game , both girls are amazing(play like guys), their role players stepped up big early. If Woodbridge played Edison 10 times they may win 4 or 6 of those games. They get better as the season goes and their caoch is very experienced. Edison has a new coach this year, he is good but new to the program ( still working out the bugs. The Brea Fhill game looks great it will show how good both Leauges are, Remember Villa Parke lost to Fhill by 20(and moved up to #7 ?) I wonder how they will do against Brea? ( HB lost to fhill by less than 20 but it was garbage time. I would like to see VP play HB

  • efan says:

OK again you don't know your bball coach - the game Foothill played against HB was a joke - Foothill bench in scoring on HB - VPs game altho extremely tough for them was not against Foothills bench. - are you trying to say the woodbridge coach is more experienced than the Edison coach - haha - you need to check out a few club games then!!! Now you've seen Foothill/Brea, could be either of them winning on any given day - different refs different story. Carlos is right on with the top rankings. VP would beat HB - heres why -way too physical for HB - other than Viloria HB is soft. VP I think would also beat Rosary - it would be 3 x the 3 point shooters so they would probably come out on top!

  • bbjunky says:

I definitely wouldn't count Edison out just because they have a new coach. The players and parents seem very happy with the change and the team already had a pretty solid nucleus so I don't see them falling backwards? Foothill definitely showed their dominance over H.B. and played their second and third string throughout the game but that was more of a testament to Foothill's bench than Huntington's weakness. VP is definitely stronger than H.B. (especially since H.B. is forced to start 2 freshman) and it's a shame they don't have a solid post player to help out Viloria. The Foothill / Brea game was everything we thought it would be and I'm not a "homer" for either team but have to say I was kind of rooting for the upset. First week in the books Carlos, and so far you're looking like Nostradamus.
