Here are teams 1-5 in Carlos Arias' power rankings for girls basketball:

Much better than previous weeks. Looks like you caught a double header this past Saturday with AN v LH and then Woodbridge at MV.

My only change to the top 10 is to move VP and Troy ahead of Rosary and Woodbridge. Both VP and Troy have faced better teams than "R" and "W". Records are similar enough.

It will be tough for you to catch a DH this weekend, as you might have to do a wrap up of the Brea v Foothill game at 5pm at FH.
Followed up by SC v Woodbridge at 7pm at Woodbridge.
The schools are only 9 miles apart according to mapquest so it is makable.
By the way, I enjoy the audio interviews you have posted.

One last thing, is ther any chance that Cox Cable is covering the Brea v FH game? do you know? I cant find a schedule.

theiman: I will find out the Cox3 schedule and get that to you guys on Tuesday. If they aren't at the Brea-Foot game they are crazy. That is the best game of the week.

Looks like Cox Cable has picked a south county boys b-ball game of Trabucco Hills (7-9) vs El Toro (12-4) instead of the Brea v Foothill game. I understand most of the Cox Cable customers are south county but any fan of the game would rather see a top game(boys or girls) vs what most likley will be a Sea View league route.

So much for Foorhill being #3. They lost to Brea 71-59 in OT. Marinara fould out for Foothill. I'm suprised Hartman even played since she hurt her knee against Canyon.

A lot of questions will be answered tonight with the Rosary - Santa Marguerita league game. I wouldn't necessarily drop Foothill much if any in the poll, they were ranked 3rd by Carlos and lost in overtime to the No. 2 in an exciting game. MD, BO, and Foothill are still the top 3 IMHO.
We will also be able to see how Woodbridge fairs against Foothill on Tuesday. A good showing by WB should improve their position as well.

To Dick - who are you trying to kid - Foothill could beat Brea on any given day and vice versa - the calls were 10+ to 3 in the second half in favor of Brea - so lets hear your argument there - Marinacci was awesome considering the cheap calls she got - the coaching for both teams was lousy. and obviously a homer where Hartman is concerned she hasn't played a lick of D all year - in fact her teammates say she has no hart MAN!

That is correct - we were lucky aginst Foothill - no idea what our coach was doing either - thank goodness Jonae hit those lay ups or we would have been in trouble, the big girl was no different from any other game, she is babied.
