Here are teams 1-5 in the O.C. boys basketball rankings:
1. Mater Dei (Trinity) 14-0, 50 points
2. Los Alamitos (Sunset) 14-1, 45
3. Sonora (Freeway) 14-1, 38
4. Tesoro (South Coast) 13-2, 36
5. El Toro (Sea View) 11-4, 23

I don’t understand the rankings. If El Toro (#5) played Santa Margarita (#6), El Toro would get demolished. Santa Margarita might have lost their top players last year to graduation but their coach did not graduate with them. Saw them at the Century Tournament and they looked great!
