The Holiday Cup doesn’t name an all-tournament team or a MVP, and that’s OK with me. It gives me a chance to present my seven-player roster (with comments):

Kaleigh Gilchrist, Newport, Jr. – Exploded vs. Palos Verdes, solid vs. Dos Pueblos

Elise Molnar, CdM, Sr. – This stout defender showed a scoring punch

Margot Money, CdM, Jr. – Best scoring threat in final, scored twice in semifinals

Tiera Schroeder, Dos Pueblos, So. – Utility drew nine exclusions in two matches Saturday

Brittany Zwirner, Foothill, Sr. – Princeton-commit was solid for fourth-place Knights

Monica Vavic, Palos Verdes, Fr. – Aggressive playmaker helped PV finish fifth
