Mater Dei quarterback Matt Barkley threw for 235 yards and two touchdowns to lead the White to a 27-16 victory against the Black in the Under Armour High School All-America Game in Orlando, Fla., on Sunday night.
The USC commit completed 11 of 22 passes and was selected the White team’s player of the game.
One of Barkley’s touchdown passes covered 71 yards to uncommitted wide receiver Marlon Brown of Harding Academy in Tennessee.
Barkley arrived at the all-star game after spending Christmas vacation with his family doing mission work at an orphanage in Cape Town, South Africa.
USC also picked up a commitment Sunday from White offensive guard John Martinez (6-2, 264) of Cottonwood in Utah.
