this is nonsense! Have you seen foothill high school? they stayed with mater dei for the gosh darn entire first half!!! Their losses to irvine and segerstrom were a fluke cause their top players were physically and mentally injured. All i know is they are a team who everyone better watch out for. They are the real deal! GO KNIGHTS!!!

  • bball4ever says:

hoopsstar nailed it. This dude knows what he is talking about. I completely agree. His insightful analysis provided readers with an in-depth glance at their potential. I saw them play and they will out hustle, out work and out play most opponents. GO KNIGHTS!!!...black and gold 4ever!!!

  • Jerry says:

Relax. It's early in the season and the ratings can change.

  • Knight says:

well, we all know that both of those people go to foothill!!

    sawooooooo

  • mdbball says:

haha hoopstar cites foothill's play in a single half against mater dei to prove they're legit?? you got outscored 26-2 in the third quarter and only scored 34 points total in that game! i dont know too much about foothill but you should be thankful you lost to the monarchs by only 40.

and bball4ever, i'm sure you're knights do hustle and work really hard in every game... unfortunately, "hustle points" don't actually count on the scoreboard.

  • keeping it real says:

Ocean View will own their division just get ready. Too bad mater dei recruits and everyone knows it the wear twins are HB products and should have either gone to Marina or Ocean View, just like the almighty taylor king should have gone to Edison.

  • mdbball says:

wow, this argument again... okay i'm not saying mater dei has never recruited before, but the name "mater dei" does the recruiting itself. if i'm a young bball prospect, i'm going to go somewhere where i'm exposed to the best talent this country has to offer. you're not going to get that opportunity at marina or edison. the best players go to mater dei, period. they may have recruited years ago but i doubt mcknight is still doing it.

  • hooper says:

i guess katella should be in the top 10, they beat irvine by 30 who foothill lost by 20 too!! come its to early lets wait till league unravels a little bit!

  • hoop fan says:

I think edison should be up there somewhere, they have been hurt all year and are very young. With Boswell and Garrity...they will be fun to watch!

  • FOOTBALL1 says:

To "keeping it real"....kids go to Mater Dei from all over. It is the natural progression from elementary and middle school Catholic schools to go to a Catholic high school! DUH!

  • THS says:

    foothill?? hahahahahahaha.... no.

tustin played fantastic in their win against foothill at foothill, and those are the real players who hustle. and doesnt foothill just about have a losing record?

  • Landon Taylor says:

mdbball is right. if you were a legit bball player wouldnt you want to go somewhere where you will get noticed and have the best chance of winning?
