  • nostradames says:

Matt Barkley co-mvp sounds like a popularity contest.

  • Mrs. Whyte says:

Way to go, Riley…the BEST is still to come! We love you! Congrats to all our SERVITE brothers!!
    CREDO!
    The Monahan and Whyte Clans

  • ko says:

Looks very democratic. Three from this school, three from that school. I really doubt if there were three J Serra players who would have started at OLU. It sure looks like adjustments were made to keep everyone happy.

  • eam1994 says:

matt barkley had a bad year (especially copared to last season) no way he’s mvp. that’s gotta be portis

  • Trinity All league says:

in the trinity league there is no all league voting. it is completly based on how you finish in league. 15 1st team offense, 15 1st team defense, 15 2nd team offense, 15 2nd team defense. to many ego’s in that room to do anything besides that. troy thomas came into the meeting knowing he got 3 selections for each 1st & 2nd team o’s & d’s.

  • Bo says:

You have got to be kidding, Matt Barkely MVP, so they are saying that Barkely, was more valuable to his team than Keith Price was, Stop it.
Keith Price MVP, and Offensive Player of the year Hands Down.

  • FOOTBALL1 says:

Barkley didn’t deserve co-MVP – but neither did Portis this year.

  • bestkarz says:

ALL LEAGUE 1ST TEAM MEANS BEST 11 ON EACH SIDE OF THE BALL PLUS KICKER AND PUNTER., WHAT A JOKE I AGREE J-SERRA DID NOT HAVE A WORTHY 1ST TEAM SELECTION. GO LOOK AT THE FREEWAY LEAGUE THEY DID IT RIGHT AS TO WHERE THE SUNSET LEAGUE HAS 22 OFFENSIVE 1ST TEAM PLAYERS THIS WHOLE SYSTEM STINKS.

  • SCL says:

It is the coaches trading favors and adjusting it to suit their needs instead of actually VOTING for the best 11 players. The same thing happens in most leagues for basketball. Great job by the Freeway League to actually do it right!

  • ogbigguy says:

Again….. Bestkarz…. Stop your crying…. Let the kids have there due. Did you make 1st team in football as akid??? Does your kid paly? Does he start? What? No! Like I said give all these kids there due. Lets congratulate them instead of say they don’t deserve it. Someone important thought they did! TO ALL THE PLAYER FROM EVERY LEAGUE IN ORANGE COUNTY WHO RECIEVED 1ST & 2ND TEAM HONORS……. CONGRATS TO YOU!!!!

  • d says:

OLU DBs 2nd team…Jserra DBs 1st team…PLEASE!!! So where does that leave in for all county. Did anyone watch OLU DBs shut teams passing games down. 2nd team??!!! PLEASE!!!

  • bestkarz says:

I agree with o-lu fan they shut down materdei and notredame 2 of the best qbs in california..
as for mr let everyone get their dues i just think the top players at each position should be 1st string if barkley is mvp then hes the 1st team qb not a 4 way tie like the south coast league.
AS for myself i was 1st team all league in baseball and there wasent 22 other 1st teamers only 12 total…

  • ogbigguy says:

Were talking orange to apples. Football……. Did you play and did you get All League Honors???

  • KO says:

The all league teams should be the best players at each position. Any other approach is a complete fraud.

  • juggernaut says:

A JSerra sophomore running back makes 1st team when I can think of three deserving running backs that didnt even make 2nd team! And a Jserra db makes 1st team but a first team all county player from last year makes 2nd team all league this year. Those lutheran dbs were a part of the best defensive backfield in orange county

  • mike says:

these all league teams are laughable. Much respect to the Jserra DBs. I know you all worked very hard this year. But i can’t imagine they even thought they had a better year the the two corners at OLU. Well, makes sure you let every college know that you were the best DBs in the trinity league, although you never won a game, it will still look good on your resume.

  • juggernaut says:

Thid is not pop warner. This is not jv. It’s not about being nice. Honor the players that deserve the honor. This is a joke!
