robert cruz should have been player of the year
all the orange league coaches should pay me 50 cents for every ride i gave their d linemen i take checks and cash
=][
What about the Pacific Coast League?
ortega should show up at magnolia's banquet and give cruz his deserved MVP. people are blind. how do you lead the state in rushing and scoring and get snubbed like this. Dont worry, next year western will be snubbed when magnolia takes their orange league crown. I just wonder how wrong oby and ruban feel in accepting that award. BS
congrats cruz on a great season. i'll admit i'm a bit surprised your not the player of the year. or not in the county team...you lead the state for a while
make that mvp* not player of the year.
Ruben deserves the MVP award. It is appropriate that Robert Cruz gets Offensive player of the year. Ruben was the MVP for Western on both sides of the ball. I look forward to seeing Ruben have a big senior year.
There is NO WAY Ruben Ortega is more valuable to his team than Robert Cruz is to Magnolia. Orange League coaches, stop letting Toby push you around. As for being a two way player last year Cruzer started at free safety and rushed for 1270 (register) to 1320 (maxpreps) while ortega rushed for 1391 as a two way player this year in two more games. So how does that make ortega MVP???
Robert Cruz should have been the MVP for this League.
He is an outstanding RB that put up big numbers and still didn't get it...??
I'm shocked!!!!
who makes these pics way to go robert you know who i am bautistas dad Richard wish you the best of luck in your future endevours look foward to seeing you play on the collegiate level you made your point on the field were it counts thats all that matters Anthony made second team all league offense after having the most yards rushing for his team but he is cool with it he got jerked around all season any way it would be nice to see you two play together say hi to your pops for me God Bless and happy new year.

Magnolia, you dont play a tough schedule period. Most of those yards Robert got because his coach kept him in the whole game. Play a tougher schedule. Look at the schools when you played good schools you got rolled up. Tustin, Western, etc.
Ortega deserves his MVP award, yes he may not have had as big a year as last season but he busted his butt n played through injuries too. Cruz got most of his yards playing against sorry teams. When magnolia played good teams like Western and Tustin they got rolled up and embarased. Cruz couldn't get anything against Western untill the JV squad came into the game, and then their coach starts saying that they "rolled Western up" I don't think so. Now Mr. The Flake, srry but apperntly yuou haven't paid attention to the lower levels because both also rolled up Magnolia at their levels, and it is clear that Western will continue to dominate the Orange League and will continue defending their title as OL Champs. There will be no Magnolia team upsetting Western anytime soon. Congrats Ruben and the rest of the Western squad on their accomplishments. Way to step up into the new division and send the message that Western can play with the southern powers, just came up short though. Go WHS!!!!
WOW you people relly need Jesus

"you people need jesus" ? Haaa...thats from a dad that has toot his own horn by saying my son{richard} recvd 2nd team honors but got jacked around. Do you really believe he deserved 1st team. Thats funny! Guess he just had to mention it on "Orange League "Pics. He wouldnt mention it on the "Empire League " cause he knows that anybody that seen Josh and Issac RBs for that league were the top shelf backs in that league! Haaa somebody needs to REPENT. haaa
Response to Joe Smith
Actually Western is the one that needs to play a tougher schedule. Western should be moved to the Freeway league and have Buena Park moved to the Orange. The AD’s say that Western isn’t good in any other sport so they should stay in the Orange. Buena Park struggles in most of its sports also, the Coyotes deserve a chance. In JM’s words “Western can play with the southern powers,” so prove it. Have Toby request to play with the Freeway league.
Another comment on JM's comments. "just came up short though.", yeah, just short by three games in a four game playoff series!!!
Wow!! Magnolia finally gets into the playoffs, gets smoked in the first round and is still talkin junk. Of course they got common opponents genius their in the same league. Schedule a tougher pre-season and see what happens. Schedule Canyon, Valencia, Tustin, Fullerton, and Marina. You guys would go "0" for.
As for stats, Westerns offense is balanced and they actually pull their starters out when their winning unlike your "so called" up and coming program. Ortega is by far the best player in the league. Nothing against Cruz, but when your guy doesn't play defense, how valuable can he be. Maybe if you put him in on "D", you guys wouldn't have given up 40+ a game.
HAHAHAHA LOL.. YA ARE TOOOOO FUNNY... MAN, YA COMPLAIN WAY TOO MUCH... BOOOHOOHOOOOO... THATS WHAT YOU GUYS DO BEST.. I MEAN COME ON ALREADY ITS DONE AND OVER WITH RUBEN ORTEGA IS M.V.P AND CRUZ IS NOT.. SO WHAAATTT??? SHEESH!!! MAYBE IF CRUZ SHINED ON DEFENSE LIKE ORTEGA DID THEN MAYBE HE SHOULD HAVE DESERVED M.V.P BUT ORTEGA WAS NOT ONLY A POWERHOUSE ON OFFENSE, HE WAS ONE ON DEFENSE TOO.. MAN YA NEED TO GET WITH THE PROGRAM AND START APPRECIATING THE GAME AND STOP THE HATE... CONGRATS ON BOTH GUYS ON A BIG SEASON...
In response to Harry King.... yea it's true Cruz did get better stats vs. common oponents but Mag is a 1 RB team.... as for Western had about 3 - 4 people running the ball, so as a result it leads to less carries for Ortega so his stats aren't as impressive.... I'll give it to you tho all most had me there... Oh and Ortega is a 2-way player so he is more valuable then Cruz.... nothing against Cruz but I believe i have proven my point.
JM, Ortega is worthy of MVP. I'm not sure if you made your point. Take Ortega away from the Pioneer's and there still league champ's/ play-off team. Can we say the same for Magnolia?
Robert, could have been POY or All County, if he hadn't played at Mag! He ( Cruz ) has played against the best kids in the county. 5yrs APW RAMS 1 ORANGE/ NATIONAL, 2 CONF CHAMPIONSHIP. 2Yrs
Jr All American.. All conference.
So let's keep it real... He should have been Orange league MVP, OPY and O-BACK OF THE YEAR.
One more note: Had Mike Reyes AHS,not gotten hurt knee, in non league. He Mr. Reyes would have taken some of these award's!
keep it real needs to keep it real he does deserve 1st team and my sons name isnt richard its anthony bautista look at his stats compared to the rest of his team not the rest of the county grow up and make yourself known you sound like one of the loara coaches a bunch of baseball coaches trying to coach football. my guess is you dont have a son.
Jesus is a son that could really help you.
Ok guys it like beating a dead horse! Those stats for Big Rob are misleading because look at the records for those teams, plus Big Rob stayed in the whole game to pad the stats! Who carewhat you do against JV guys! Good Luck, great job mag on a good season finally! As well as beating western next year I dont think so the lower level games were blow outs as always!
to "harry nut sack" haha look at the stats ortega vs. cruz... yeah they are different. so what.. look at the number of carries.. magnolia didnt win any games.. cruz did.. haha he carried the ball on like 90% of their plays and you wonder why he had so many yards..??????? dont get me wrong.. hes a real good rinning back but ortega didnt get as many carrys and is way tougher than cruz i give him props for bieng a 2 time league mvp as an underclassmen.. tell me when cruz did that.. and hows his leadership.. ??? can you awnser that?????? just like nacoste having over 2,000 yards rushing(including game 2 that did not get his stats put in) how is he not even recognized.. ??? that on the coaches now.. hes one tough 130 pound runningback..
ortega keep up the work as well as nacoste.. magnolia dont get to confident for next year.. with cruz gone and talitiga and that tarzan looking like QB(lol) u guys are going to be just like you were 3 years ago... remember that coach Jerk-ins
oh and another thing.. nacoste still would be a better back that mike reyes even if he didnt hurt his knee...
