Fryer’s football rankings: Teams 5-6

Here are the teams ranked fifth and sixth in Steve Fryer’s final football Top 10:
5. Mission Viejo (10-2) The Diablos’ only losses were to Tesoro and Lakewood. Lakewood went to the Pac-5 semifinals, Tesoro to the Pac-5 finals.
6. Esperanza (8-4) The Aztecs came close to beating eventual Pac-5 champion Long Beach Poly, but lost by seven points.
