Middlebrooks has to the top Junior recuit even though his playoff game was not good, but you have to see what he did against a tough sunset league.
    Espy-126 Yd 1 TD
    NPH- 221 Yd 2TD
    Los Al-100yd 2TD
EDH-48YD 1TD and a 99 YD kick return called back.
Pretty impressive with a line who averaged 220

  • CARLOS ARIAS says:

I would put Quezada and Richardson much higher

  • Lhhman says:

Carlos – seems like you do not respect the talent of the non-football carriers? I think both Josh and Paul Richardson are great but the 3 linemen are already for college – and will/may get even better. Kirfi, Ward and Jakubeic are super. Note – If UCLA got all 3 this year, Norm Chow would feel a lot better. The linemen are SUPER.

  • Country says:

No arguments here about choosing Wilkerson. After all, he already has offers from Stanford & UCLA. And is also gaining heavy interest from all the other Pac-10 schools, USC included.

  • football fan says:

I have seen josh quezada play many times, and I think he is possibly one of the best high school running backs that I have ever seen. Just out of curiosity, does anybody know who he is getting recruited by?

  • oc football says:

You guys gotta get Zach Mitchell from Tesoro up there too…

  • Country says:

Notice the topic says “top junior recruits”. As great of a run he has been having. I doubt he’s receiving as many looks as those who made the list.

At 5′ 9″, 175 lbs., that’s a hard sell to many of the big colleges.

  • Country says:

Also, he has decent speed for a high school RB. Not explosive speed that attracts the big colleges. And his stats aren’t mind blowing.

  • bighsfootballfan says:

Nice list 3 through 10 could flip flop very easily but the top 2 are Wilkerson and Quezada, with the nod to Quezada because of his blocking ability boy does he pick up the blitz well also pancakes linebackers and d-backs when leading Hillman on them nasty runs , but a case can be made for Wilkerson too just look at his stats un-real both are top-notch and any school will be very fortunate to get.

The fact that Webb also rushed for 1,000 plus yards would indicate that Wilkerson is blocking well too on the other end.

So what schools are looking at Quezada ? If there weren’t any before the season. They should be several by now.

  • high school fan says:

kirifi taula and matthew jakubiec are beast on the field and chris ward didnt do much this year as well i belive taula should be higher than ward.

  • Country says:

Just read the article on Quezada. Receiving letters from UCLA, Notre Dame and Tennessee.

That’s good enough to bump him up a few spots.

  • nosoup4yu says:

How does Matt Viles not make that list? Hard to believe he’s not getting looked at. Edison’s a pass heavy school with good history of recruited QB’s, seems like people are missing the boat. He had solid year, more yards that Wheatley with 40 less completions, 500 more than Fajardo with roughly same completions. 19 TD’s,7 picks with junior mostly young receivers. A junior without stats but bigtime game is Ceceil Whiteside from NH. He’s very big, athletic and had no trouble with talented, polished Paul Richardson when NH beat Los Al. Quezada is a load with a burst, hard not to like him, but if Xavier Edwards can stay on the field next year he might get more offers than anyone.

  • Country says:

“Top five junior recruits in the playoffs” ;)

  • nosoup4yu says:

I gotta get my glasses checked Country.
