St. Margaret's is fresh off of tying the county record for consecutive victories and has a chance to win a record 42nd in a row. The Tartans play for the East Valley Division championship Saturday against Twentynine Palms.

We want you to weigh in on the game. Make your pick for the winner and then give us your argument for your choice in the comments field below.

I don't know much about both schools but St. Margaret's 41 straight victories is very intimidating, I think they should pull off a good win.

  • Legit44 says:

Who cares? St. Margaret's would lose to Valley if they were in the Orange League.

  • Pappy says:

Legit44's comment not withstanding, at some point the boys of St. Margaret's should want to know just how good they are, don't they? Winning every game 55-14 takes some of the glory out of it, doesn't it? Maybe one of the Tartan faithful can answer my last question? When (not "if") your team wins this championship, can they go to a state bowl next?

  • TartansLetsRoll says:

Yes, the Tartans are eligible for a bid at the State Bowl Small School South Division upon winning the CIF EAST VALLEY DIVISION. The likely opponent would be Parker of San Diego.

  • TartansLetsRoll says:

When reading my previous comment, I meant to say that Week 1, St. Margaret's will play Parker. It's late and I am unable to think straight...

  • Ben Boice says:

Twentynine Palms will win by more than 10. St. Margaret is good
but if you look at how they played against Yucca Valley then
you have to pick 29. The second common opponent was Brethern
Christian both scored nearly the same points against them. My
vote goes to Twentynine Palms wildcats.
