4. Capistrano Valley

Charles Pfirrmann and Tim Benedix are All-South Coast League returnees for the Cougars, who shared the league title with Tesoro last year, went 24-6 and advanced to the CIF-SS I-AA quarterfinals. Kevin Panzer, a 6-8 junior, will be counted upon to be a presence inside. Capistrano Valley added an outstanding all-around player when junior Casey James transferred from JSerra. The Cougars play in the South Coast League, which looks to be a very deep league this year.
