The deal: Draws aren’t released prior to Thursday’s matches.  All matches are best two of three sets.

Early look: History can be made on the doubles side. Dana Hills’ Brynn Boren and Kristina Smith are the defending champions. By reaching the finals they would be the first duo to play in three consecutive finals. If they repeat, they would be just the third pair to defend their title in 80 years, and first since 1979.

Boren and Smith’s biggest obstacle is Campbell Hall’s Sarah Lee and Sabrina Santamaria. The two pairs are likely to be the top two seeds.

In singles, Pam Montez (La Quinta/LQ) is the top ranked junior player in the tournament. Orange Lutheran’s Kaitlyn Christian is No. 2. It appears likely they will draw the top two seeds. Ontario Christian’s Britney Sanders is ranked No. 6 and can cause problems on either half of the draw.
