  • SCL says:

Too bad Cox3 isn’t doing the game. They do a GREAT job. It is a drag to watch a game live with Fox Sports doing it. The TV timeouts impact the flow of the game.

  • how do you get tickets to the tesoro vs olu game

  • heydude says:

hey fox, just a clue, if you do a survey, you will see that nobody in oc wants to see their game. can you pick someone else tohighloight! Hey hey bye bye titans.

  • heydude says:

wait and for those little titans who pick on spelling, i meant to say “to highlight”.

    thank you.

  • trr123 says:

Wow, I hope ‘heydude’ doesn’t go to to O Lu. That private school education hasn’t taught him anything about spelling or respect.

    Comments:

SCL — The problem with Cox 3 is that their games are always delayed by at least 30 minutes to an hour.

HeyDude — Be a little more courteous, dude. Both OLU and Tesoro have worked hard to get to this point, and may the better team win.

  • Just A Spectater says:

you can definity tell that HeyDude goes to or is the parent of Mater Dei. All i have to say is you lost fair and square ( i was there on MD side) and there is no reason to take your anger out on the kids that beat you. Tesoro has come along way and has overcome some BS reffing games (dana hills the penalty ratio was 11:1) so i support those boys

  • heydude says:

You crack me up. There you all go trying to figure out whose parent, what school, where someone sat. blah blah blah.

The answer to all of your guessing is : no, no, no, no, and to the other guess, uh no.

Don’t go to Olu, MD or any other. Just an opinion, and sorry it is not the opinion all of you tesoro people want everyone to have. GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ.

I get to pick whomever I want to win that game. GO OLu! The better team!

  • Insurance Dude says:

It doesn’t get better than Lindsay Soto and Jackie Pickering! Preston King has to be excited about his on field interviews!!

  • debs says:

Tickets can be purchased at Orange Lutheran athletics this week. Times of sales vary ,so check with school.

heydude- which game would you rather see?

  • How great for Orange Lutheran! I am a very proud 30 year alum!

  • debs says:

I agree Isurance Dude, Lindsay Soto is great and I think that Fox does a great job!

  • Insurance Dude,

I agree, our last game vs. Mission, we didn’t get to see her.

  • heydude says:

Uh, for as much as I hate to admit it. If I was going to a game, it would be the OLu vs. Tesoro game. For as much as I am vocal against Tesoro, I do believe that it will be an amazing game. So, there you have it, I do have heart, way down inside somewhere. And, I will say this, for as much as I do not like tesoro, if they can pull off this game against OLu, ……….I can’t believe I am going to say this……..

then Tesoro deserves to win it!

Okay, it was somewhat liberating to actually post something that was hard to say, but what I have to realize in the past few weeks. So, don’t start up on me you tesorians, let it go.

  • MDISGREAT says:

Go OLU. Keep it in the league!

  • need a ticket instead of you guys going at it about the game…..whos going to win dont worry about it you guys arent the weather man so when you show up to the game…..watch it, enjoy it ,and have fun…..they are both great teams either way i want an oc team in cif cuz 05 and 06 cif were great games with olu and loyola and espy were great cuz oc teams were in there…..but anyways how do you get tickets to the game……

  • LancerPride says:

Unknown . . . from the OLu website:

“Orange Lutheran will face Tesoro in the CIF Pac-5 semifinals on Saturday at 7:30 at the Santa Ana Bowl. Tickets are on sale in the Athletics office Tuesday through Friday, 9-11am and 1-3:30pm.”

Just drive onto campus and get to the office (by the Gym) where you may purchase tix.

I look forward to another great game! Go big red!

  • LancerPride….from the unknown nonwebsite:

But how much are the tickets from another sckool that wants to see the game?

  • mike92620 says:

I believe that the price for the tickets are set by the CIF at $8.00 a piece for adults.

  • scubamcdaddy says:

Heydude….props to you. Very nice post.

  • heydude says:

    thank you mcdaddy.

  • HS Coach says:

Let’s be glad Cox isn’t televising this game. There is entirely too much dialogue between Kevin Turner and “the coach”, particularly when they notoriously talk at the same time. It’s also quite annoying when they talk as the referee is announcing the penalty. Vince is good, however, and knows when to zip it up. It’s only bad for Fox to do delayed games, as they famously like to “fast forward” due to time constraints, so we get to miss part of the game.

  • what if your a student from another school?

  • Insurance Dude says:

What to do? Tesoro vs. O-LU (featuring Lindsay Soto) or Florida vs. Alabama or Oscar de La Hoya fight? DVR only holds two damned programs at a time! What a Saturday night, huh? Sport Freak’s Dream!! Answer: Get another DVR box!!

  • Insurance Dude says:

The only reason Vince “zips” it is because he does little homework which results in him having nothing to say. He is by far the weakest link to the three Cox commentators, despite my wife’s insistance that his looks make him the best. I think the “Coach” is actually well prepared and in the know. Fox is way ahead but in fairness to “Coach” and Kevin, they do an awesome job for local coverage. If you have ever lived outside of Southern Cal, you will realize and appreciate how spoiled we are by our outstanding local media coverage of high school sports.

  • jon doe says:

olu has improved as a team and are showing us they could go all they way this year. with a stable of good running backs, they really know how to grind it out. barring any miscues i see them redeming last years game against poly.

  • Insurance Dude says:

You could be right, Doe. If you watched the MD or San Clemente games, most of the scoring from MD, MV and SC came from the run game.

  • GUZ says:

Thank God its on Fox. If I hear one more “One Wing left” thanksgiving joke I’m gonna shoot myself. GO TESORO.

  • lhsocfan says:

    Hey unknown stranger,

In answer to your question about tickets, adults are $8 and all students/children are $5. I have posted the url address to the website with all of the ticket information.

    http://www.lhsoc.org/357457.ihtml

    Hope this helps!!

  • CV Cougar says:

    steroids

  • LancerPride says:

CIF Playoff tickets are (I believe) $8 and $5 regardless of school affiliation. You can purchase them at the gate as well which opens at 5:30??? Of course you take the chance of it already being sold out. I picked up my family’s yesterday at OLu and I think there are still plenty left. I don’t know how Tesoro travels, but I would suspect for this game every bit as good as Lutheran does.

A high powered offense against a tough defense. It will come down to turnovers and penalties. If not those two, then the fewwest mental mistakes as both these teams are well disciplined and well coached.

OLu has been good lately sustaining long, time consuming drives, keeping other offenses off the field. As an OLu fan I hope they can continue this weekend.

  • notstuckup says:

CV Couger, stated a bad word.

AND FOR THE RECORD, Tesorians, I had nothing to do with it.
May you all have a good game on Saturday.

  • Tesorofan says:

Although I am a Tesoro fan, may the best team win! you are both great teams.

  • notstuckup says:

    Game Day.

Looking forward to a great game tonight.

  • MD4Me says:

This is a game I want to watch, it it weren’t for the parking and un-parking part I’d be there in person. We had a great game against Tesoro last week and I’m disappointed we didn’t do better but I’m rooting for OC to represent, see? Good luck to both, may they play great ball and have no injuries.

  • Mom of Tesoro Student says:

Go Titans!!! You deserve the victory you are about to receive!

  • David from anaheim hills says:

That wasn’t the OLu team I was expecting, not much can be said. Tesoro is better team than OLu, they were better in segment of the game. Tesoro stacks up very well against LB Poly. OLU fans was that the real OLu team? Or did they just not get out of the blocks? Big disappointment.
