Gulugian goes deep in prestigious girls golf tournment

University junior Ani Gulugian advanced to the semifinals of the Polo Junior Classic, a prestigious AJGA tournament, defeating Madison Pressel, 2 and 1, in the quarters on the Independence (Watson) Course on Thursday at the Ginn Resort in Reunion, Fla.

Gulugian, the Pacific Coast League champion, lost in the semis, 3-2, to Jung Min Lee. Lee then defeated Torrance’s Jenny Shinn, the reigning California State champion, in the finals, 4-3
