Here are the game sites for the second-round CIF-SS football games as of Monday at noon:
(All games Friday at 7:30 p.m. unless noted otherwise)
Pac-5 Division
Long Beach Poly vs. Esperanza, Valencia High, Saturday, 7 p.m.
Mission Viejo at Lakewood
Mater Dei at Tesoro
Notre Dame/Sherman Oaks vs. Orange Lutheran at Santa Ana Stadium
Southwest Division
Tustin vs. Pacifica at Bolsa Grande High
Fullerton vs. Canyon at El Modena High, 7 p.m.
Western at Trabuco Hills, 7 p.m.
La Habra vs. El Dorado at Valencia High
Southern Division
Laguna Hills vs. Santiago at Glover Stadium, 7 p.m.
Irvine vs. Norwalk at Excelsior Adult School, 7 p.m.
Mayfair of Lakewood vs. Los Amigos at Garden Grove High
Corona del Mar at Laguna Beach
East Valley Division
St. Margaret's at Yucca Valley

Not for teams playing on turf......
Regarding The La Habra v. El Dorado game I read that it is being played at Bradford Field. That venue is sporting a new playing surface. That is wonderful for the running game, you get better traction, and no grass stains to wash out! I am a little worried about the plans for the stadium published in the Register:
Bleachers:Summer 2009
Ticketing/concessions: Summer 2010*
Restrooms:Summer 2010*
Press Box:Summer 2010*
Parking: Summer 2010*
Does this mean I should take the bus to the game, eat before I go, not expect to see Dick Enberg calling the game, bring my own seat, and....well lets hope personal needs can be attended.
What is Valencia High's field like? Can it withstand a game on friday nite and then on saturday? How are the stands? Thanks. Poly band rules.

D'oh! I forgot about that! So that leaves only 3-4 (depending on this adult school field) possible mud bowls.

Andy: Tesoro likes to have homefield advantage at its on-campus stadium, so I doubt it.
Can anyone explain why they have CDM playing @ Laguna Beach...... are not the SeaKings the higher ranked as well as the team that whooped up on LB already this season 37-0........? What gives?
Because Laguna Beach played away & CDM played home in the 1st round.

question....why is the tustin/pacifica game in the middle of garden grove when tustin high stadium is clearly open? oh well, doesnt matter knowing wilkerson is bound to rush for 150+ yards and 2-3 tds anywhere he plays.
Why do they not then give the higher seed the homefield..... seems wrong as the first game u get the home reward which is the easier/lower seeded rival... then u win and the second game you have a tougher foe and a road game even when u r the higher seed.... lame.

Pacifica played away & Tustin had a home game in the 1st round.
OCC NOT FAR ENOUGH SOUTH. TESORO SHOULD BUILD A BIG STADIUM ON CAMPUS. MISSION VIEJO WOULD LOSE ALOT OF RECRUITS TO THEM.

especially with all the budget problems in California schools....
