A correction needs to be made. the No. 7 Team in Div I needs to be Buena not Buena Park. They belong in Division III with Troy and the rest of the Freeway League.

  • #1 what coaches were involved in these selections.
    # 2 these look like decisions based on last years results.
    # 3 some of these teams lost some key players ie. Esperanza had many starting seniors leave.
    # 4 Aliso 3rd, I'm still trying to figure out how they were ranked above
San Clemente last year on Feb. 4th after loosing to them twice in the season and San Clemente never dropped out of 1st.

I could go on and on but it would not make a difference I've seen this go on for many years. Politics and manipulations. Welcome to soccer in orange county.

  • sgthappypants says:

This should be an intresting and exciting year. And no need to worry about the polls I think Div. I will be changing through out the season.

  • whocares says:

Just a response to 65year old fan. Aliso tied san clemente after having 2 goals called back in the game at san clemente last year. so get your facts straight. and politics is not only in orange county. but get real its everything. and aliso has 9 returning starters 5 of which have been starting since their freshman year.

  • JUST A FAN says:

Santiago was knocked out of CIF by Kennedy but Kennedy is not rank?

  • To: whocares, 2 points for a win 1 for a tie still eaquals
3 to 1 and they still finished 1st. Aliso should have never been
ranked above San Clemente. I'm a nuetral fan who would love to see it called fair. It was outright wrong.

  • GG says:

To: 65year old fan... If those goals hadn't gotten called back against Aliso (one of them being offsides on a throw-in), Aliso and SC would have shared the South Coast League title. So before you say Aliso doesn't deserve to be ranked above SC, you should probably watch them play because those girls have undeniable talent, and were robbed last year.

  • sgthappypants says:

See the Rankings are going to change already.

  • to:GG yeah yeah every team was robbed throughout the year. Every team had goals called back. Regardless results are results and if that ranking was not manipulated the world is not round. I have no children playing on any team. I am from Europe and was raised with the sport. I enjoy watching soccer in Orange Co. it seems to be the best soccer around. I would just like to see things change in how these decisions are made.

  • Susan says:

How come Calvary Chapel/Santa Ana is not listed?

  • FatChance says:

JUST A FAN...what are you talking about? Santiago went to the Semi's last year and lost to Mayfair...Kennedy did not knock them out of the playoffs.

  • soccer dad says:

Los Osos beat Norwood 2-0 last night

  • sgthappypants says:

Los Oso lost to Div IV Granite Hills

    Where's Orange High?
