He had been warning you throughout the Empire League season, but you wouldn't pay attention.

How about now?

My pick for star of the week goes to ...

Josh Brannon, Pacifica, Sr., running back

Brannon rushed for 171 yards and four touchdowns as the Mariners defeated top-seeded Foothill, 35-7 Friday night. Brannon left his impact on the game in the second half when he scored three touchdowns to turn a 14-7 lead into a rout.

Brannon is the second leading rusher in the county with 2,013 yards.

The kid's a stud. i have been telling that to anyone who would listen for the last two years, he's quick, explosive and runs with power , great job Pacifica and good luck the rest of the way.

I was at the Tustin - Magnolia game and Tustin should not be chastised for running up the score. They played xecond and third string players in the fourth quarter. Yes, it seems like they were rubbing it in a little, but in reality the Magnolia defense just didn't show up. Anyone could have run for a TD. They never had to punt and nearly all of the touchdowns were abnormally long runs. High schoolers get a thrill out of reaching the end zone. So, please don't accuse the extraordinary coaching staff of running up the score. They bring the best out of these kids. Tustin currently has 6 players in the NFL.... that speaks volumes about Myron Miller and his staff.
