It's over. Troy's Alison Radde and Stephanie Bui are moving on after beating CdM's Lindsay Zotovich and Danielle Kaiden, 7-5, 6-4.
(Quick note about an earlier posting: Radde and Bui have lost twice this season, not zero times as previously mentioned.)
The Warriors closed the match on Bui's cross-court overhead smash. Though her team won, Warrior coach Donna Judd didn't think it was fair those two teams met so early in the draw.
"I'm sure, from years of experience, whoever lost that match is stronger than other teams still playing," she said. "That Corona del Mar team is stronger than many that will qualify."
The Warriors other doubles team of Stephanie Villajuan and Frances Tseng advanced, 6-2, 6-0.
CdM's doubles team of Karen Ishii and Kelli Feeley lost the first set, 3-6.
In singles, Orange Lutheran's Kaitlyn Christian is the first to finish in Round 3. She won 6-2, 6-0 over San Marino's Sarah Gealer.
Keep checking. I'm not stopping yet.
