Comment: Ended an amazing season with another big night.

4. Paul Escamilla, Santiago, 214 yards

Who are the top 5 backs in the county this year? Not an easy question to answer as there many to choose from, i will only comment on the ones i have seen so if i miss someone it's not because i don't think he's deserving it just means i didn't see him play, 1. Wilkerson, has size and speed 2. Middlebrooks, the fastest of the bunch and good power 3. Cruz , not as big as some of the others but very fast and tough 4. Allain, fast and very quick to the hole and great acceleration 5. Hytche, good speed and size and power 6. Brannon, tough runner good quickness and follows blockers very well, i didn't see Portis or Hillman or many of the other trinity league backs play, i know there are several other top backs in the county i am only commenting on the ones i saw.

How can you pick top anything for round one before Saturday games are played?

  • Damian Calhoun, OCVarsity.com since 2004 says:

We've done it every week, so why stop now? If updates are needed after Saturday's games, then I will take care of it late tonight or early Sunday.

Mr. Calhoun, I can't seem find a "Live Blog" from the Trabuco Hills vs. Valencia game?

  • ex lancer/clan dad says:

when you list top performance, why not go yards per carry, per half. Imean you guys list per game and make some guys look great when there in there for 4 qts against weaker teams. So for all you people ragging on coach mazzotta for running up the score ,think about this. he could have in all the games ,left quessada and hillman out there for 4qts like other coaches, and they would be way over the number of yds these other kids have, but its a team!!! sport, and there are others heis concerned about getting playing time when the out come is allready decided by half time. So fryer and albano and all others need to back off and get a reality check before giving kudos for inflated stats. by the way , 2nd half score on friday .lahabra 2nd and 3rd teams 35 anahiem 1st team 0!!
