Servite and Lakewood went to overtime.
Servite lost 35-34. Lakewood scored first in the OT, Sevite scored on a run by Portis. An offsides on the PAT moved the ball up, so Servite went for two and the victory — but an incomplete pass ended the game. Lakewood 35, Servite 34

am I still coaching this team? way to go troy thomas, a chip off the old block(head).
How could Servite have lost!? What gives!? Going for two cost them a needed win and gave Lakewood the upset victory. Me thinks going for two was a foolish gamble, even if they would have converted. So depressed…
Coached themselves right out of it again! 1 and 1/2 yards for Big Bad Physical Servite and the genious tries to throw? 2 years ago vs. Edison in the quarters he gave the ball to one of the best players in the Nation, Gallipo, a whopping 6 times and LOST!
It’s like when Toner used Slater as a “decoy” so he could spread the ball around to his mediocre players.
They just never seem to give their kids a chance to win.
Too bad.
The Samoan kid #13 on Servite was a stud. If it wasn’t for him making those big tackles for losses in the fourth quarter the Lancers would have ran out the clock and would have won by a touch down. Passing the ball and going for two was stupid but I’m happy you guys passed because that big #13 was knocking people down left and right. If your coach would have been paying attention to the game he would have notice that every time #13 came into the game as a blocker he was running people over. You guys should have just gave #1 the ball and told him to run behind #13.
For the extra point – with the 270 lb Kirifi? – why would you pass – surprise – oh well.
Either way, It was an intense game. Jerry Stone #21, 152.7 yards rushing. Jerry Scroggins #15, 194.4 yards passing. Thats what wins a game. But that quarterback on Servite, #4, He’s got things coming for him. We couldn’t stop him. And like Bill said, “Coached themselves right out of it”
