St. Margaret’s (Academy, #1, 10-0) vs. Campbell Hall of North Hollywood (Alpha, #3, 5-5)
Friday, 7:30 p.m. at St. Margaret’s High
Outlook: Giving the Tartans a No. 3 seed to open the playoffs is sort of like throwing a hamburger to a lion.
We’re all aware of how the Tartans score (528 points, 52.8 a game average) and we all know how they don’t let their opponent score (39 points allowed, seven shutouts).
This game is important because it is likely the first victory for the Tartans on their road to the CIF State championship game.
The Tartans are ranked second in the South among small schools. Santa Clara of Oxnard is ranked first, but they’re competing in the Northwest Division with mighty Oaks Christian, and this gives the Tartans a better shot at landing the berth in the state championship.
St. Margaret’s defeated Campbell Hall, 37-0, when they met on Oct. 3. Will it be more of the same Friday night?
MORE CALHOUN SIX:
Good luck St, Margaret's i hope you Go all the way to the State Championship game as it's great to see any County team from any level get that far, would like to see this team in the Southern Section playoffs where i think they would be very competitive.
Campbell Hall competed in the highly competitive Alpha league. The Vikings improved as the season aged. Suiting up a more experienced and confident young team you should expect a more competitive game and possibly a different final result.
