St. Margaret’s won’t have key starter for CIF opener

November 18th, 2008, 8:36 pm · · posted by

St. Margaret’s standout running back John Murayama (hamstring) will not play Friday in the first round of the CIF-SS East Valley Division playoffs against Campbell Hall, Tartans coach Harry Welch said Tuesday night.

Murayama will be replaced by freshman Matthew Duenes, brother of former St. Margaret’s standout running back Michael Duenes.

This injury is a blow for the Tartans but they will be fine Friday.
