Fryer's picks: Southwest Division championship and analysis

November 18th, 2008, 4:36 pm · 18 Comments · posted by STEVE FRYER, ocvarsity.com

Here are Steve Fryer's Southwest Division championship pick and his analysis of the division:

Final: La Habra over Foothill.

Analysis: Trabuco Hills-Valencia is the most challenging first-round game to call; two good teams, but Trabuco is finally healthy and playing its best right now. Teams with passing offenses have advantages in this division. La Habra has been the best team in the division all season, with Foothill not far behind.

  • Dino Darling says:

Man, Fryer just served La Habra up! You know you have to predict us to lose, in order for us to win! Just kidding Steve! It was good to bump into you at the Athletic Directors Super Booster Awards Banquet. Although i disagree with your comment; La Habra fans like you! Ok, maybe not all of them. But that's OK, I'm the Booster President and they don't all like me either...so you are in good company! Blessings right back at you!

I can't wait for the boys to get out and play some football! These blogs are entertaining but nothing more than speculation. Some of it educated, and some just down right idiotic. You have to love the grammar!

Valencia will be ready. Mr. Fryer, never count out the Tigers, especially at home.

  • myself says:

flip that, and that will be the outcome of this division

  • gribble says:

foothill and la habra in the final game with foothill beating la habra. Foothills defence is one of the best in the county with number 32 jordan winger leading them i dont think la habra's offence can handle a strong defence like that.

  • tk says:

La Habra all the way. From what i hear the Clan is feeling icy and ready for another ring. LH vs. Foothill will be a great game no doubt! La Habra can pull it off, im not saying its easy but they do have thier work cut out for them. Lets go CLAN!

  • ipod384 says:

cypress is gonna take it all

  • Get A LIfe says:

    Nice, OU812!
You seem to write the same thing every chance you get.

Don't you have some homework to do?!

  • zach says:

I guess it wont be Foothill.

  • Marcus Jay says:

Get ready folks...Coach Miller and the Tillers are getting their first CIF title this year. Tustin's offense is unstoppable. Too powerful. Too big. Too painful. Too strong. Too fast. Too punishing. Anthony Wilkerson, Dakota Lambert, and Amer Webb's going to run wild & crazy. No team - lncluding Canyon and La Habra - want to bang heads with the Tillers.
