Guess you were quite WRONG!!
Arleta is #1 and will always be. Everyone isn't giving them the credit they deserve.... How many schools can say after being open for 3 years, this being the 2nd year having a varisty team that they would go all the way and be undefeated while doing it.. To all the haters... MUSTANGS are the CHAMPS!!!!!!!

Re: Poly's sch. Year in and year out Poly plays the best teams they can schedule. Miami Northwestern was the reigning national champs from last yr. brot a 49*0 record that Poly snapped. St. Bonaventure is rated in the top 5 by the LA Times. Poly has played Concord DLS, Mission Viejo, they have travelled to Hawaii, Wash. state, Nevada , etc. looking for the best. Steel makes Steel my brothas. L.B Poly has sent more players to the NFL then any high school in the entire USA. Have won more CIF titles than any school in California. Certain teams have a pedigree while others are still trying to make a name for themselves . Bishop Amat: Poly will run the ball, play hellacious D and awe you with their team speed.

Trinity League is by far the toughest leagues in the State and Even the Country I think That Servit, olu, md, and bosco could take all the other schools Servite is going to put up a huge fight dont be surprised if they end up in the finals

"We should have the Trinity League CIF Campionship, and let the public schools play for the real CIF Campionship."

Blog,

Come on man! Every team wants to play the best competition possible. A team gets better by playing quality opponents. This is the purpose of the PAC 5 division, to be a real champion, and to play/beat the best.

Poly's schedule makes them suspect. The only top teams they played were St. Bonaventure and L.B. Jordan and both of those teams gave Poly a game. I don't think Poly has the lock on making the finals everyone thinks they do. Also talking about Poly not being able to afford things. Have you taken a look at their web site? Very impressive.
It makes M.D. look like a poor relative.

In Southern California, Mater Dei is to High school sports what Notre Dame is to college footall, ND could be 0-10 in football yet they will be on 2-3 national Tv broadcast a week.

Dont get Me wrong, MD has a great Program in all sports and people take pride in the accomplishments that the Kids put fourth on the field and in the class room.

Its all about ratings, thats why We are stuck with reality Tv.

Doh!

"MD is well known, and can afford these things, not like long beach." LBP sends more kids to the NFL than any other high school in California, maybe in the nation. They are plenty famous and I am sure have a lot of money invested in their football program. Don't give me that junk that Poly can't afford TV time. I'm sure Snoop Dog donates some cash and gains them some exposure, especially since his boy plays for them. I also doubt that a school has to pay for TV time on FSN. The games that featured MD were all good games against quality opponents. Why were they on TV? because the more viewers = more money. Poly is the wolf on top of the hill right now and the teams at the bottom are hungrier than they are. I expect to see an OC team in that championship game and win.

LB. Poly Grad from the class of 1977,

I would love to see Poly win and go to the State Championship game...However, as good as The Jackrabbits Defence is, there offence is pretty one-Dimensional and more then likely will not be enough to bring Poly back in the closing Minutes of a game if they fall behind.

Poly Fan for life, but I am also Grounded in Reality :)
