Well said Esperanzafan. It is clear that the Aztecs are battling even though many had them to exit early in the playoffs. If they don't win against Poly, I expect that they, like Bishop Amat, will give the Jackrabbits one hell of a battle. It will be a war between two great defenses and if you frustrate Poly, there players have a tendency to rack up the penalties. If the Aztecs play clean and give them some surprises on offense, I believe they can come out with the win.

I am so sick and tired of hearing who deserved to be in the playoffs and who didn't from the sunset league. The fact of the matter is that 5 of the 6 teams with the same record. And while it may gave been luck or whatever you want to call it that Esperanza, Los Al and Fountain Valley got to go, had there not been a tie in the first place, no one would have had to rely on luck!!

By the way, Esperanza did not get blown out in the first round nor did they get beat convincingly. They went out and played their best. And that is saying a lot since four of them lost their homes in last week's fire!! And even if they do lose to Poly, we could not be prouder of our AZTECS!!!

Go Aztecs!!!!

MD does not need to recruit. The program attracts the athletes, not the other way around. Joe and many others talk like if our players are studs as soon as they get to MD. Barkley and any other star on the team have developed into great football players, which is a testament to the program and coaches. The same goes for any other great player from the past. I know plenty of kids in Santa Ana who already want to play for MD and Rollo. The siblings and other young family members/family friends of current players/MD alum reload the program with new talent each year as well, so that is crap if you think we get to the playoffs each year because you believe we recruit.

I have been a parent of MD athletes for years and I'm still waiting for someone to introduce me to anyone who has been RECRUITED! Get over it! We go to MD because it is an excellent Catholic, academic school. Good luck to all the teams!
