There were several big performances in Week 10. I had narrowed it down to two, but I couldn't select one over the other, so I'm picking two.
Both teams entered Friday needing a victory to either get into the playoffs or to force a weird five-way Battle Royale coin flip.
These two players produced and their teams are headed to the playoffs because of their performances. Our week 10 stars are ...
Gregory Portis, Servite, Sr. running back
Portis rushed for 179 yards on 25 carries and scored two touchdowns (22 and 24 yards) as the Friars defeated St. John Bosco, 48-31. Servite's victory earned them a share of the Trinity League title.
Jared Moore, Esperanza, Sr. running back
Moore rushed for 187 yards and two touchdowns (4 and 2 yards) to lead the Aztecs to a 16-3 victory over Edison. The victory forced a five-way tie for the Sunset League title.
