The Esperanza defense made Friday night difficult for Edison quarterback Matt Viles. Viles was under pressure all night not long and took several hits as the Chargers only scored three points.

This week’s star was a big reason why Esperanza shut down Edison.

Mike Brewer, Esperanza, Sr. defensive tackle

Brewer recorded two sacks, had three quarterback hurries and a pass deflection in Esperanza’s 16-3 victory over Edison Friday night.
