We enjoyed having two exemplary programs play their quarter-final game at ET, and these comments are appreciated by our program. The credit for the hospitality on this day should go to head girls coach Matt Tilton for setting up the course after his practice and most of all for our booster president Dave Henry and his wife Mary. They are the class act that made this event happen, and Servite and Villa Park participants and fans feel at ease under difficult circumstances. In addition, assistant coach Daniel "Raq" Julson was stellar in dealing with the finicky timing system and setting up a standby system so the players and fans could get the necessary info. Sorry for the clock problems, and we will have to get it fixed ASAP. We had NO problems with the system all year long including vs. Dos Pueblos on Friday. This is Coach Don Stoll of El Toro HS. It would seem that if the private schools continue to do well, CIF would indeed make them D1, but, why should D1 have to contend with them? It seem to me the Trinity league has its own set of rules when it comes to their rosters. Why not let the privates play each other in the entire state in a CIF tournament?

Why do public schools have to play against private schools?

CDM can not have a foreign player because CIF feels that he had prior contact with a coach and it might be considered “recruiting”. Yet you can have a group of boys from different zip codes stack the deck/roster of a Trinity league team and it is OK?
