Mater Dei (21-7) vs. Temple City (21-9) at Pasadena City College, 4:30 p.m.

Prediction: Temple City’s grip of Orange County ends swiftly and decisively. Top-seeded Mater Dei will sprint pass a surprising Rams’ squad, which has defeated Tustin (12-10) and Dana (8-6). Apparently my scouting info that the Rio Hondo Lg was weak after champ La Canada was a bit off. Still, Mater Dei will cruise and then ponder a match in the semifinals with a surprise opponent. Yes, you will have to read my prediction of the Riverside Poly-Long Beach Wilson match. And no, I will not be claiming Poly goalie Gavyn Wild of Poly as a county player. He belongs to the IE but we can admire his talents from afar.
