Arias: How I voted this week or the official (unofficial) top 10

November 10th, 2008, 11:29 am · · posted by

Coming up with every possible playoff scenario for every team in the county was enough to fry anyone’s brain, but not me.

I mean, “The Sunset Doomsday Scenario” where the Sunset League ends in a five-way tie for first place just goes to show you how insane the 2009 O.C. football campaign has been.

My brain remains somewhat functional despite going through all of these playoff theories and scenarios, so I was able to produce a top 10 for this week.

Here is how I voted:

1. Tesoro

2. Mater Dei

3. Servite

4. Orange Lutehran

5. Edison

6. Mission Viejo

7. San Clemente

8. Fountain Valley

9. Los Alamitos

10. La Habra

I think your list is Right On, however I feet that if Edison was healthy, they would be # 3

Readytorumble: Injuries are part of football, so we will never know. But I would tend to agree with you about Edison.

So how does NH get bumped from the Top 10? La Habra has two losses to OC Top 10 teams and plays a weak schedule. Harbor loses a great game to FV, which FV deserved to win because they are playing outstanding football this year. Loses to Poly and Edison. Why are they not ranked? They play a much tougher schedule than most teams would even try. I’m confused.

I am not convinced about Tesoro, Mission Viejo, or San Clamente. I will give them credit for there records however their schedules are extremely weak. The only tough teams they have played are each other. The rest of the teams are for the most part very weak.

These teams will all be bumped out of the playoffs in the first couple rounds.

Just an observation after looking at their schedules.

  • CARLOS ARIAS says:

OC Fan: There is so much parity in Pac-5 this year, anybody is capable of winning and losing against anybody. I don’t see one dominant team out there, especially coming out of OC
