Here are Steve Fryer’s teams 16-20:

(Click on the team names to see season totals.)

16. Tustin (6-3): A 63-26 victory over El Modena clinched at least a share of the Century League championship for theTillers. They play El Dorado, 3-1 in league, this week. Tustin has won six in a row since a 10-0 loss to Orange Lutheran. Tustin is averaging 55 points a game in league play.

17. Fullerton (7-2): The Indians had won seven in a row before their 24-7 loss to La Habra. Michael Allain rushed for 115 yards, nearly 70 below his per-game average. Fullerton plays Troy this week, and probably will be on of the Southwest Division’s top-four seeded teams when playoff seedings and first-round pairings are announced Sunday.

18. Western (7-2): The Pioneers overwhelmed Anaheim, 38-0. They are averaging 42 points while allowing only seven in Orange League games. They have clinched at least a share of another Orange League title, and would win it outright with a victory over Santa Ana Valley on Thursday. Western is 4-0 in league, Valley is 3-1.

19. Santa Margarita (2-7): The Eagles are 0-4 in the Trinity League after last week’s 49-24 league loss to Orange Lutheran. Do the Eagles really belong in the top 25, and at No. 19? Well, most of their losses are to good teams – Mater Dei, Servite, Lutheran, St. John Bosco, St. Bonaventure and Chaparral of Temecula. The combined record of teams that have beaten Santa Margarita is 51-12. Of those teams, the one with the worst won-loss record is Servite’s 6-3. The teams Santa Margarita beat – La Costa Canyon of Carlsbad, which is 7-2; and Poway, which is 6-3.

20. Cypress (6-3): Cypress has at least a share of the Empire League title, and can win it outright by beating Pacifica on Friday. Cypress beat Pacifica in the Southern Division final last year. The Empire League is a Southwest Division league this year.
