80 yards - Lucky Moemoe's interception return for a touchdown in the second quarter to lift Garden Grove to a 10-7 victory over Santiago, prompting the season's best quote:

"The ball hit my helmet first, and I said, 'What the heck?"...I got Lucky, after all, that's my name"

17 - La Quinta's consecutive Garden Grove League losing streak snapped thanks with 10-7 victory over Rancho Alamitos.

303 yards and four TDs - Foothill quarterback Zach Griffith's stats in Thursday's 56-28 victory over Northwood.

234 yards - Josh Brannon's rushing total as Pacifica defeated Loara, 35-21 Thursday.

Did you notice?

That Matt Barkley only passed for 160 yards, threw two interceptions and didn't throw a touchdown pass ... And the Monarchs still won. Mater Dei might be playing the best of any team in the county right now.

See you next week!
