  • Dari Motgomery says:

Tesoro is the real deal. They deserve more pub!

  • How about them HIGHLANDERS!!! Look'n good!!!

  • Flashwente says:

La Habra is a team! They could have beaten Los Al or San Clemente on any given day. Giveaways were the difference. That's part of football too.

  • The new #1 in the southwest division rankings on monday. . .La Habra!!! Good game LHHS.

  • mike92620 says:

Does this mean that Tesoro is the South Coast League champion again by reason of its win over MV?

  • woop says:

    gg LH

  • STEVE FRYER, ocvarsity.com says:

I have been voting La Habra at No. 1 in the Southwest Division all year. Not sure what the other voters were thinking (many of the voters are coaches).

And Tesoro has clinched at least a share of the South Coast League title.

  • hold up! says:

Segerstrom lost? wow! Will Macerenka even be the coach there next year? What will happen with this underachieving program?

  • S. Fryer , I'm Very Very happy to hear that you give LHHS their due respect they have a solid program with commited student athletes and parents i really don't know what the other voters were thinking. The rematch between LHHS and Fullerton should be good in the playoffs these 2 teams hate eachother!

  • ....one more thing Fryer tip of the hat to you for not forgetting about La Habra the past couple of years it felt like in the years past that we would get forgotten over here in north county i'm a long time subscriber of the register and always read what you have to say for awhile i had to get the whittier daily news just to hear about LHHS . . . how about some more color pix ...

  • polodad says:

just got done watching dana hills mission. dana jumped out 17-0. than mission turned it on and scored 31 unanswered. final was mission 45 dana 31. dana is by far the best 4th place team in the county! the deserve the at large. they lost to san clemente 8th, mission former #1, edison, and newport harbor #10 by 1. those kids deserve a playoff spot.

  • fAnATic says:

Way to go La Habra! Good football tonight, put the hurt on Fullerton! (Literally)

  • tk says:

what has fullerton left to say? nothing. CONGRATS Highlanders. Tonight you guys showed that it wasnt just a one game thing. La Habra pounded the indians. Allin got stuffed. All due respect to him, he is a little beast, but not a Quezada or Hillman. Congrats Clan.

  • Legit40 says:

Wow I thought Segestrom had a real good chance in getting 2nd place League.
How could they lose 2 a horrible horrible team!!!!!?
    iM shocked....SAINTS..BOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • joey1861 says:

Dana hills v. Mission........ Dana has a very fun team to watch and the best team that school has had in years. They jumped out to a 17-0 lead in the first quarter against a very good Mission team in there 45-31 loss. If they manage an upset vs. Tesoro next week they deserve a playoff spot. Steve, does Dana's tough non-league schedule they seem to play the last few years hurt there chances at an at-large birth? They did beat a good foothill team, but if they walked into league play at 5-0 like San Clemente would that help playoff chances?

    Sunset League

SO what Now Edison (3-1) beats fountain valley (2-2)

you also have Los Al (3-1)beating Esperanza (2-2

And Newport Harbor (2-2) beating Marina (0-4)

Next week FV plays Marina and will have the upperhand making them

    (3-2) and marina (0-5)

Newport harbor, lost to fountain valley which beat los al but fv lost to esperanza

    and newport harbor, beat esperanza

Newport Harbor vs Los Al game is one to look foward to

If newport harbor beats Los Al

then newport harbor will become (3-2) and los al will be (3-2)

Edison will most likely beat esperanza. Edison will win the sunset league title if newport beats los al

edison will have a record of (4-1) taking 1st place now if all what i've said above is true were would playoffs stands because now you got

    3 teams with a 3-2 record

    fountain valley
    los al
    Newport harbor

but how many situations where team a beats team b but team c beats team a

Fountain Valley, Beat Los AL and Newport Harbor, Lost To esperanza
Los Al, Only team to beat edison, and beat esperanza but lost to FV
Newport Harbor, Lost to FV by and lost to Edison but beat esperanza

Western 38 Anacrime 0...And my poor buddy Ralph said that the Colonist would give them a good game if they didnt win it outright. HAA whata joke!. Look at the bright side...at least Anaslime doesnt have to play Katella again...haa. Hey Ralph...Want to see a good Anaheim team play? Go see the Anaheim Cougars [Pop Warner-Midget Div.] play in the Orange Bowl 6pm. Sun.

  • Frmdablchrs says:

Yeah...that game was over before the Colonist walked off the bus. And come to think of it....as to the "post" before me. Western has a couple of Anaheim Pop Warner Alumni [COOKSIE,ORMAN brothers, Ziegler]
