BREA — Canyon rolled up 331 yards on the ground, scored 41 consecutive points and took a big step toward qualifying for the CIF-SS Southwest Division playoffs with a 48-14 Century League rout over Brea Olinda on Friday night.
Eleven different Comanches carried the ball, led by Jared Gobert with 137 yards and two touchdowns on just eight carries, including an 84-yard scoring run on the first play of the second half.
Canyon (5-4, 3-1) will need a victory over Villa Park next week to ensure its postseason berth.
