Orange League playoff picture

Here's a team-by-team look at the Orange League:

(Click on a team name to see season totals.)

Western (8-2, 5-0): The Pioneers took the league title outright with a victory Santa Ana Valley on Thursday.

Magnolia (6-4, 4-1): The Sentinels clinched second place with a victory over Anaheim on Thursday and they are in the playoffs for the first time in 23 years.

Santa Ana Valley (6-4, 3-2): The Falcons lost to Western, but finished in third place with the final automatic playoff berth.

Anaheim (5-5, 2-3): The Colonists lost to Magnolia to finish in fourth place. They are eligible to petition for an at-large berth, but it will be a long shot.

Savanna (3-7, 1-4): The Rebels are out of the playoff hunt.

Century (2-8, 0-5): The Centurions are out of the playoff hunt.

Note: There is one at-large berth in the Southwest Division, and the Orange League will have a tough time wrestling it away from the Empire or Century leagues.

    Sentinels are nothing without Cruz........
    An outstanding RB!!!!!
    Go Falcons!!!!!

  • WHY IS WESTERN EVEN IN THIS LEAGUE???? THEY NEED TO MOVE THEM IN TO A MORE COMPETITIVE LEAGUE.. THEY ARE PLAYING TEAMS THAT ARE NOT EVEN THAT GOOD... WHATEVER THOUGH, I GUESS THEY WANT THE EASY WAY TO THE PLAYOFFS...

    GO INDIANS!!!!

  • Legit40 says:

    Anaslime out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If Western wants 2 go far in the play-offs they better step-up their game.
The way they played vs. Valley shows that they seriously need some improvements.

  • whsplayer says:

    @ Legit40,
Is that why Western made a lot of big plays?
And what was the final score in the end?
Western is in it to win it
They are focused and have the talent to go all the way

  • Chata says:

So what happened Legit? I thought Valley was taking the title, or atleast a piece of the pie? What a joke. Magnolia #2, wow, how things have changed this year.

  • Legit40 says:

    Are u kidding me?
    Western made no big plays!!!!
SA Valley has a young QB and thats why they lost.
Give u 2nd round and out!!!

  • ralph says:

Legit40, you refer to anahi as Anaslime? last time I checked I think valley is the one from Santa Ana! and western , magnolia, and savanna are also in anaheim so what does that make them?
